Just sitting here reminiscing about the first project I made. After I got my sewing machine, I went to Hancock Fabrics and bought some cute fabric off the clearance table. I think it was $2.00 per yard. I’m pretty sure I bought all they had. Then one day after work I went to Walmart and bought a pattern. I met this interesting lady in the fabric section. We began talking and she gave me some advice on a pattern that would be good for a beginner. It was Simplicity 9871. She was right! It was a very easy pattern. The only change was the drawstring. I didn’t do one. My daughter ended up with those as one of her gifts for Christmas. I was so proud of myself, I had to make more. So I made two more pair of these lounge pants. I know, really cute!! That’s exactly what I thought…LOL! So, if you’re wondering what your first project should be, this is a great idea because Christmas is only 4 months away and these lounge pants would make great gifts. Trust me my nieces and nephews and my grandchildren have been recipients of Auntie and Nana's new found love for the last couple years.
