The 2018 Vacation season is almost here! Where will you travel to this year? Don’t have a passport? Well don’t worry because there are plenty of destinations to choose from RIGHT HERE in the good ole U. S. of A.  I have said it before but, if I could be on a permanent vacation I would definitely travel 365 days a year!   If you’re not sure of a destination for this year’s vacation, Why not take a trip beyond your typical beach vacation? To help you with your decision for this year’s travel I have taken the liberty of listing 4 of the most fascinating destinations around.
Let’s explore four of these Vacation spots that are NOT located in Florida.
1. San Diego, California – If I could, I would move there TOMORROW! I absolutely love this place.  The weather there is great and the scenery is absolutely AH-MAZING.  Besides the great weather and scenery, there are a ton of things to do. I recommend the following:  The San Diego Zoo, Coronado Beach, Balboa Park, The USS Midway Museum and so much more.  If you are looking to visit California soon but you don’t want to experience the big city of Los Angeles, San Diego is definitely your spot!
2. Scottsdale, Arizona – Are you a fan of baseball?  If you are, then you’ll be excited to know that at least 15 teams of the MLB call Arizona home for spring training.  You’ll get to see teams like the LA Dodgers, the Cincinnati Reds, the Kansas City Royals, the Texas Rangers, the San Diego Padres and of course the Arizona Diamondbacks.  Even if you’re not a major fan, watching a game in great weather in Arizona would be an awesome treat.  You can also take in some beautiful scenery in Hayden Butte Preserves hiking/walking trail near Arizona State University and also enjoy the scenery of Old Town Scottsdale.  Kind of reminds you of a town from the Old West.  So if baseball and Vintage towns are your thing, then this is definitely a must add to your list of US cities to visit.
3. Seattle, Washington – I bet you didn’t think Seattle would make the list did you?  If you haven’t seen the famous Space Needle, you’ve got to put it on your bucket list.  While there, be sure to enjoy a cup of Starbucks coffee in Pike Place Market, especially since this is where the Starbucks coffee craze began.  While you are enjoying that coffee, take the water taxi to West Seattle and enjoy more sites in this beautiful city, I promise you will not be disappointed.

4. Gatlinburg, Tennessee – It’s been a while since I’ve visited but it’s still a top destination for a great family vacation. Your kids will thoroughly enjoy the largest water park in Tennessee, The Wilderness at the Smokies and the famous Dollywood Theme Park.  After all that fun and excitement your family can relax and enjoy one of the many cabins nestled in the mountains.  The scenery will be absolutely breath taking and relaxing. The kids may be able to experience a BEAR sighting.

Now that you have some ideas of where to go for 2018, Why not start planning your vacation right now. Going to the beach is always a good vacation but there is soooo much more available for you to see literally right here in our own back yard. Now is the time to get out, see it and enjoy the 2018 travel season.
